(July 22, 2019) In June, members of ITRC’s LNAPL Team traveled to Beijing, China to teach and participate in many environmental conferences. LNAPL trainers Randy Chapman (VA DEQ), Tom Fox (CDPHE), and Sara Pearson (EGLE) joined over 70,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors at the 17th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC). The conference focuses on innovation-driven development and technology for domestic and foreign environmental protection.
ITRC Director Patty Reyes also attended the conference and spoke at the China Woman Environmental Executives Meeting. ITRC also participated in many additional activities in Beijing and Zhengzhou, including:
- Training hundreds of environmental professionals during multiple LNAPL training classes at:
- Tsinghua University School of Environment
- Beijing Academy of Environmental Sciences
- Henan Institute of Geological Survey
- Participating in a round-table discussion on 2018 LNAPL updates
- Meeting with representatives of the Chinese industry
