2020 ITRC Teams

We are excited to announce next year's project teams! Membership enrollment for new, extended, and ongoing 2020 teams will open on December 2, 2019.

NEW! Use of Soil Background Concentrations in Risk Assessment

Beginning in January 2020, ITRC will start a team to tackle soil background concentrations! The team will produce resources and training materials that regulators can use at cleanup sites or other projects that require assessment of risks to contaminants in soil or soil like material. The resources will include a summary of existing guidances, data, and studies, as well as information on analytical methods, statistical methods, forensics and geochemical evaluations.

State staff interested in becoming a Co-Team Leader for the Soil Background Concentrations team should email their resume to ITRC Director, Patty Reyes, (preyes@ecos.org) no later than August 30, 2019, as well as share their availability the week of September 3 and September 9 for scheduling an interview.

EXTENDED! PFAS Update and Training

The ITRC PFAS team submitted a proposal to extend their project until December 2021. The ITRC Board of Advisors decided to extend the project after recognizing the ongoing need for PFAS information and training. The PFAS team will update the fact sheets, create video training modules, expand their online regulatory values portal, and much more.
