The symposium will provide an overview of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and will concentrate on three key elements for characterizing and managing PFAS impacted sites – site characterization (sample and analysis), complex mechanisms that impact fate and transport, and current and potential remediation technologies. Case studies will be discussed to illustrate the concepts presented.
