ITRC Supports Environmental Collaboration in China

(June 11, 2018) Last week, members of ITRC’s Petroleum Vapor Intrusion (PVI) Team traveled to Beijing, China to teach and participate in many environmental conferences. PVI trainers John Boyer (NJ DEP), William McKercher (MS DEQ), Richard Spiese (VT DEC), and Matthew Williams (MI DEQ) joined over 50,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors at the 16th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CEIPEC). The conference focused on innovation-driven development and technology for environmental improvement. At CEIPEC, ITRC held a PVI training workshop which was attended by almost 200 professionals, both in-person and through a live stream.

Additional activities and conferences that ITRC PVI trainers attended included:

  • Participating in a panel discussion at the 2nd China Sustainable Environmental Remediation Conference
  • Meeting with remediation experts of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and the Beijing Environmental Protection Science Research Institute
  • Meeting with the Tianjin Academy of Environmental Sciences
  • Attending the International Cleantech Summit and the 3rd Annual Meeting of 3iPET
