The ITRC Training Program assists ITRC’s advancement of innovative environmental decision-making by helping ITRC create and deliver high-quality training courses.
 |
Internet-based training is developed for all ITRC Technical/Regulatory Guidance documents which are developed as part of
ITRC Projects with a multi-year commitment of planning and funding if approved by the ITRC Proposal Process. ITRC Internet-based training
classes are hosted in conjunction with EPA's Technology Innovation and Field Services Division (TIFSD). More information about Internet-based training and a list of courses
is available on the ITRC Internet-based training page. For current classes, you can go directly to
register at EPA's Clu-In.

Short courses are usually 2-4 hours in length and delivered in conjunction with a conference or other event. Often ITRC short courses are either
an expansion of an Internet-based training or an abbreviated multi-day classroom training. More information about short courses and a list of courses is available
on the ITRC classroom training page.

 |
Multi-day classroom training development and delivery requires an ITRC Technical/Regulatory Guidance document to serve as a basis,
demonstrated market need for more in-depth curriculum, and an associated proposal jointly developed by the ITRC Training Program and the related
technical team. These proposals will require a multi-year commitment of planning and funding if approved by the ITRC Proposal Process. More information
about classroom training and a list of courses is available on the ITRC classroom training page.

The Training Program provides an organized, structured, and consistent approach to training curricula development and delivery in conjunction with technical teams.
The ITRC Training Program is led by the Training Liaison of the ITRC Board of Advisors and includes functions performed by ITRC technical teams, training instructors,
and contract support.
ITRC training development and delivery is an ITRC implementation activity connected to ITRC projects (not a stand-alone function). ITRC Technical/Regulatory
Guidance documents serve as the basis for ITRC training curricula. For more information on the ITRC Proposal Process for ITRC Project approval and funding, please
visit the Planning page.
